I had this idea in school about 'AUs where everything is the same except' and so I told Akira-mun about it and she was like
AU WHERE EVERYTHING IS THE SAME EXCEPT AKIRA IS FTM
And I had to write it
Also I thought of AUs involving everyone who is active at the moment
they are sad AUs though
because i am a sad person
OK ONTO THE STORY
Dozy Promises
Rin sighed deeply as she wandered Hope’s Peak Academy’s hallways. She was bored, and needed someone to kill time with. ‘Damn, this sucks.’ Rin frowned as she saw Chinatsu chuckling over something with Ayako and Yuuki. Normally she would join them, but today she didn’t feel like listening to the girls babble over some new fashion, or how cute ‘this boy’ or ‘that boy’ was.
Rin found herself in front of Akira’s room. Rin knocked, and upon hearing no answer, she tried the door. It was unlocked. “Please don’t tell me you got yourself murdered.” Rin whispered to herself, frowning. She sighed in relief as she heard the water running in the bathroom.
Rin didn’t think Akira would mind if she waited here for him to finish up his shower, so Rin sat down on the bed, smiling. Akira’s clothes were crumpled in a ball on the bed, and as Rin spotted them, she thought to herself that she probably shouldn’t be in here.
She stood up, stretching a bit, and looked down at the bed, smoothing out the part she had been sitting on. Rin’s hand hovered over Akira’s clothes. Rin sighed as she straightened out Akira’s shirt, folding it gently. She didn’t know what had possessed her to fold Akira’s clothes, but she didn’t stop. She laid out Akira’s pants next to the shirt, and picked up a new article of clothing. She frowned a little bit, her mouth opening slightly. Was this…?
The door to the bathroom creaked open and Rin spun around, the chest binder still in her hands. Akira had a towel around his hair in a mock-turban, which was such a typical thing for Akira to do, but what surprised Rin was that his towel wasn’t around his waist like normal boys would have done. His towel was around his chest, and he had another towel around his waist. “Excuse me?” Akira frowned. “Can I help you?” He tried to sound fierce, but his voice came out wavering slightly.
“I’m sorry! I was just leaving.” Rin said nervously dropping the binder onto his bed, and leaving through the open door.
Five minutes passed while Rin waited nervously in the hallway. Was Akira going to be mad at her? That was a stupid question, of course Akira was going to be mad at her! She had basically broken into his room and went through his stuff. That was a violation of privacy right there. Hell, she’d be mad at anyone who did that to her!
Akira finally opened up the door, and Rin perked up a bit, but her smile faltered when she saw the annoyed look on Akira’s face. “Come in.” He said flatly. Rin nodded, and followed Akira into his room, nervously. He looked at her, and folded his arms. “So you know now.” Rin nodded slightly, and Akira frowned. “…Please don’t tell anyone.” He whispered softly. It was Rin’s turn to frown.
“Dude, why would I tell anyone? It’s not any of my business.” Rin asked, and Akira looked up.
“I mean…when I told my friends at my old school, they told everyone, so I just assumed—“ Akira looked at Rin, tears welling in his eyes.
“That’s not what a real friend does.” Rin said. Akira let out a choked sob. “Um, hey! Don’t cry.” She awkwardly rubbed the back of her head. Akira didn’t seem to listen as he began to cry anyways. “Or, ya know…you could cry…because crying is okay every once in a while.” Akira continued to sob as Rin slowly wrapped her arms around him.
“S-sorry…” He choked out, wiping his eyes on his sleeve, then he hugged Rin back. “I-I’m really, r-really sorry.”
“Why the hell are you apologizing?” Rin frowned as the embrace broke apart. Akira smiled a little and looked at Rin.
“You’re the first person to know my secret and treat me like a human being.” Akira said, and Rin frowned.
“People are stupid assholes. If anyone here gives you trouble about it, I’ll bash their nose in.” She said. “It’s the perks of having a Super High School Level Boxer as a friend.” Akira chuckled as he broke out into a grin.
“Thank you.” He said. “Remind me to give you a complimentary hair cut.” Rin smiled.
“I’d like that.” She said.
“Although, your hair is already pretty fabulous.”
“Really?”
“Definitely.” With that, the two left Akira’s room, and began their walk towards the cafeteria to hang out, and join the rest of their friends.
